Monroe and the State have made a bike path that connects from the airport(
Munson Park) all the way into the State Park. For once something was done right! It is a wonderful trail
thru the city into the park.
This is where you enter off of Elm Ave. near the Clam Digger bar and start into the park. This is where we started so Macy and her training wheels didn't have to deal with stop and go in the city streets.
The trail is smooth and clean.
Mostly shaded along the way.
All of the trail follows the waterways in the park. Notice the cottonwood seeds along the sides. Macy had to stop now and then to blow a
hand full in the wind.
Half way into the park there is a tower to climb to see the view of the wetlands.
It was pretty high.
Gin had packed us a lunch of PB&G and pink lemon aid. She thought this to be the greatest picnic ever...(in her many years of picnics :)
This sums it up. Another good day with grandpa. It just doesn't get any better. :) Someday Ben can join us if my leg hold out that long!
This is when we started. Mostly reeds and trees along the way.
We just rode and rode and sung our songs.
